Nathan & Jade Tied the Knot

Nathan & Jade Tied the Knot

This post will be a cacophony of images, and a few words to clarify the random image. I partook of quite a plethora of Nathan’s signature drink (Huckleberry something). There was a lot happening, and a lot of people. I took a lot of images. The ones you see in this post are the most interesting (no, I did not say “best” because a good picture is not always a good image).

I thought that in the future, seeing what vehicles were in attendance would be fun. Here are a few to see the parking situation, vehicles in attendance, and a few odds and ends not really “wedding” related.

During the actual nuptials, everyone was asked to shut down their phones, and refrain from photographs so the photographers could do their work, and produce the best work they can. These pictures are after the ceremony, and onward to the shenanigans. Wesley was not very impressed with it all and the folks sitting up front were about to start falling out from heat exhaustion (not really, but it did get toasty for them).

Once everyone was out of the sun, and had a minute to cool off, the bar opened, the snacks arrived, and everyone started to get ready for the activities. I tried to snap a few pictures of everyone starting to bull shit with out any drinks in their system. Later they’ll really pour it on, but for now, these were the times to congratulate, and feel out the mood.

Before everyone (talking to you bridesmaids and groomsmen) got totaled, Mendee and Jade ushered everyone over behind the bounce house to get some group images. It was fun to see everyone being bossed around by the photographers. I took pictures of the photographers taking pictures. Jade and Nathan will have the photographers pictures anyhow, but I hope they enjoy seeing the photographers taking the pictures of them too. (Oh, and a father son “Corn Hole” lesson).

There was also a bouncy house. Carl was the 1st adult to adventure into it, but mainly, we all let the kids wear themselves out in there. With a couple pictures of a few ‘Rando’s” to fill out the gallery.

The 1st dance happened, and Juno escaped (he barked quite a bit once the nuptials were happening). I loved that he escaped and made it known that he needed to see EVERYONE! There’s a couple images of him running around while the dance was happening too.

Once the sun went down, the results of liquid courage started to show its wonderful face. First though, I snapped a few pictures for fun. These night pictures are by far my funnest, and probably the most annoying for those that are in them. Using a flash is invasive, and abrupt, but god damn I love the results.

Once the “night dancing” started, I was right out. Dancing is NOT something I enjoy doing at all. I do love taking pictures of people dancing 🙂 . The flash is also fun to play with because you can make it all “spooky” or silly like Indy and Cooper were doing above.

Here are a few more from the dancing, then we’ll look at a few with people in them (most of the time they knew the picture was coming, but not always 😉 .

Well start seeing folks here in this part. Don’t forget, you can click the image, see it full size, download it, etc.. I mostly walked around, saw some fun, and tried to capture it (unfortunately, also most of the time, they would turn so I got their backs instead of their faces – not nice cool kids, not nice).

There were games to be had also. These were like musical chairs, but you had to fun off and get what ever the DJ called for. While you ran away, he would take a chair, so when you all came back, you were screwed if you lost a chair.

That was about it for me. I started to pack my gear, and round up my kids. There was one more event, but it was not one I wanted to interrupt with my camera and flash. The “departure” of the bride and groom. We were all handed flashing LED lights with tassels, then Jade and Nathan zipped on out between us all and the photography group took photos and video while we all cheered and tried to cause an epileptic seizure with all of our blinking lights.

It was a wonderful evening and it was a pleasure to be there. I am so happy that everyone seemed to have a nice time, enjoyed seeing Jade and Nathan enjoy their night, and hopefully will enjoy the pictures I have posted here.

Off to let everyone know this’ up,

~me

P.S. There was also a Smores station, I took one picture, and the flash blew out the image. Here’s the best I could get it to look with out it going all grainy and shit.

The only shot I have of the S more’s station.
