Ogden’s Winter Farmer’s Market

They moved today’s hockey game up so I was inclined to get out of bed earlier than my normal leisurely 11:30am today. Jamie and I hoofed it over (it was 27* F) and snagged a few small things to help support the locals, and so I could enjoy a little camera time. Rather pedestrian photos today. Even boring shoots, are exercising that creative muscle, that’s what counts.

I can’t help but wonder why men, or my age or so, are so rotten being in front of a camera. I don’t think I’m very photogenic, but if a guy or gal is walking around with a camera, and it’s pointed at me, I smile, or ignore, why do some men have to look all “You ain’t takin’ my picture you fuckin’ Libtard!”

See a camera, act normal or smile – easy peasy

The flip side of grumpy guys in public, are the couples, friends, and family that are enjoying the day and don’t mind a camera in the area. I meant to stop and talk to the wedding photographer about her info so I could glow her up, but I’m not the best at talking to people. Note to self, talk to people, and hand them a card with my Instagram (@superfluous_shenanigans).

Jamie found a set of earrings and candle so I snagged a couple images, THEN on the walk home we saw a little pickup with the Mammoth score from the other night (WILD OT win against the Flyers – Jan 21st).

Oh! And there was live music, and of course, I didn’t slow down to get their info. I like the vibe when there’s a band playing.

Then we went home. Even though it was only high 20’s outside it felt really nice after getting so warm inside with our warm clothes and jackets. I think there may have been something else going on in town, because the parking lot out front of Union Station was packed. We didn’t want to walk back up Wall Ave (it’s boring, and lots of traffic), so we walked up Lincoln ave (our normal walk). They’re building so much in Ogden it feels like the old time feel the city has been known for is at risk of being washed away with apartments and boxy office buildings (Private Equity can suck a root). Anyhow, I snapped a few pictures of that and finished in the back alley with Indy’s Ford Ranger (1998).

I hope it snows soon, but we’ll see. I need to get out and walk around a LOT more, and wear my camera gear out.

Have the best of days, and if you’re a grumpy ass grumpster, have the day you deserve.
