What a nice surprise the girlfriend gave us tonight. She got us a pair of tickets to a Utah Hockey Club home game against the Winnipeg Jets (A very good team). The crowd was amazing as usual, almost a packed house as usual, and we won!
Although this doesn’t do much for our wild card standings (we’re “basically” out of the running “But we’ve got a chance“), it does a great deal to keep the spirits high for next season (there are only a hand full of games left in the season or so). We just really REALLY love our guys and gals of the Utah Hockey Club.
The weather was the nicest it has been since we started going to these games. I also bought a camera just for these games and here we are testing it out (I had to let the people at the Delta Center inspect the camera several times because it “looks” like it has a removable lens, but it does not).
Here are the walking to the Delta Center pictures.

We got there early so we could stroll around and look at the apparel, “nick nacks, and what nots”. It was really busy, so we went off to get Nacho’s in a Hockey Helmet, and find our seats. Jamie did really good with the seats. Isle seat, and way lower than the seats I had gotten us before. We couldn’t even see the top of the jumbo-tron we were so low 😉 .
Here are a few images I took while figuring out the little camera.

When you stream the games via SEGplus, you get some fun hosts, and a few inside info on what is going on. We could “see” the hosts (Mainly Kim and Nick). Here are more pictures, to include some of the hosts.

Something they didn’t have last time, was some of the on-ice information and artwork. Here are a few shots of the information they were giving us during the 1st intermission. I love the entire batch of folks on the UHC team.

During the 2nd intermission, I took some more pictures of the going’s on. We had a nice view of the local sports reporters, a more accurate picture of how far Nick was away from us, a woman that was all about Veggie, a couple pictures to show how packed the place was and a few other fun pics.

K, so that last picture. The one of the little lady holding a monster lens!? Both pissed, and jealous as hell on that one (unless she’s using a canon, then LOL at her). See, “fans” cannot have a camera with a detachable lens because they might do what she’s doing do me. Blocking the view of the goal with her big show off look at me I can see the missing tooth on Crouch lens! Anyhow, the picture is almost really good if I do say so myself.
Down here, you’ll see some of the accidental smacks we don’t like to see. Here is #6 Marino (Defenseman) after getting in some facial combat with another player’s stick, glove, or helmet (we couldn’t tell). He was out of the game the rest of the night, but he did skate off under his own power after a few minutes. Hopefully he’s not too bashed up.

Finally, the end of the game, some Sara and Veggie interview images, and Nick getting some Veggie action in a different way. Last time we came, we saw Dominic Moore walking by and “almost” asked for a picture, this time I simply pulled back the curtain, and snapped a quick one. I love the broadcast team for our Utah Hockey Club.

The day was awesome, and so was the view when we walked out. The old Union Pacific Railroad terminal was looking great just before a nice sunset. There were Utah jerseys all over the place too.

I just gotta say thank you Jamie, this was an awesome date (and early b-day present for me). I love you much and I am very lucky to have you in my life MUA!
